Coyote Update

The cows and coyotes live in harmony in El Sobrante, I previously took a Pulitzer caliber picture of a coyote here, then about a month ago I took an even better picture of probably the same two:


and then today I got an even BETTER picture (I know, how is that possible) of a coyote:

Amazing that with a $500 lens you can get closer, but still have fundamental problems with the picture. Even better though I find out that you can feed these coyotes and they may just come right up to you. My plan for tomorrow is set:

• Find cow #8026 and take its picture.
• Switch to macro lens, feed coyotes, take pictures, cuddle them.

The new purpose of this blog will be to post pictures of the El Sobrante hill cows in order, so I will post next when I find cow #8026 and take a picture of it.

Manly post

I thought I better post something manly to make up for the 48 poodle pictures and the last makeup post. This is a picture of a cow taken right after he charged me and I was forced to wrestle him to the ground and put the ear tag on with my teeth at 5 am while carrying my rifle.

I got accepted at Shutterstock and now I spend my time taking pictures of makeup and sticks I find in the back yard.

He's PISSED.

Beat up dog

The poodle got beat up by two dogs at the dog park and needed a bunch of stitches. The best part about dogs getting stitches is they're not supposed to lick them, and they constantly try to, good times. I think the cone is even worse than constantly watching him because then he just walks around bumping into things looking pathetic. Oh yeah, and no baths even though he is covered in mud.

Obamamania

I would like to go on record now as seeing Obama in Oakland back in March '07, before he was considered one of the cool kids. I lied, cheated, and stole my way to the front of the crowd and still had to put up with people and their stupid heads in the way. Instead of feeling bad about cutting, I've almost convinced myself that I "outsmarted" the 5,000 people waiting in line. I don't think McCain has come to Oakland for some reason.

My best whale picture

This is my best whale picture from Kauai, you think it would be easy to take pictures of whales- they're big and they don't move fast right? But its not. Don't even bother trying if you don't have a DSLR and then you have to be pretty lucky. Plus there is all these inane rules about not being able to plow your boat right up to a whale for good pictures. Whale watching in Maui is better and cheaper than whale watching in Kauai. Either way, you have to go in the winter though.

Back from Hawaii

I am back from Kauai and I have a lot of pictures I want to share. Below is one of the outlets in our living room. Tanya refuses to do electrical work, so I'm not sure its ever going to get cleaned up.

Killer Tiger?

Tiger kills San Francisco Zoo patron, injures two others, seriously? I thought that stuff only happened in bad movies. When I went to the San Francisco zoo, the tigers were safely behind the fence, and I took this picture. UPDATE: This in not the killer tiger, the killer tiger was a chick tiger.

Missed my turkey picture chance

I forgot to post my horrible turkey picture on the one day it would have made sense to. I think the picture is actually pretty good if you consider the fact that I took it while driving and Tanya yelling "You can't take pictures while driving the car!" or some other such nonsense at me. There was a speed bump so I was going pretty slow anyway.

What I had for lunch today

Tanya wanted a special trip downtown to go to Burlington Coat Factory, apparently it sounds more upscale than it is, because that place was like Kmart. At least the lunch was good, I had this pizza like thing with cheese, spinach and broccoli and we split a gelato.

Rocktober!

That is me on the left with a bunch of my dad's friends at the very first Colorado Rockies home game. Apparently I didn't know they were taking a picture or that is the oddest pose ever.
